Luke 10:21 “Jesus rejoiced in the Holy Spirit, and said, “I thank you, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for so it was well-pleasing in your sight.”

Here are some thoughts for you to pursue in your own Bible study:
Jesus prayed for us in the Upper Room. But that wasn’t the only event that took place there. We have read about several things that took place during that sacred time spent with His disciples. Read the passages in John chapters 13-17 and make a list. You may be surprised at what all occurred. It’s so easy to read these accounts as separate stories. But read as one event, with many intentional moments, intensifies the obedient determination of Jesus to honor God.
What is one major element in all of Jesus prayers that never changes? Read several of the prayers and you will see the common thread. Use the passages above or others you may know. Then pose this question online, or better still, read from your Bible.
