Every Monday we are going to take one minute to consider a promise from God. Just one minute of time to remember that God has never failed to keep a promise.
There is therefore now no condemnation
to those who are in Christ Jesus,
who do not walk according to the flesh,
but according to the Spirit.
Romans 8:1 (NKJV)
Don’t just read the promise part of that verse. There is an assurance from God, but also a responsibility for every believer to embrace. Though we will slip and fall, and sin is a constant adversary, truly born-again believers do not live apart from the Holy Spirit. The Spirit lives in believers. And by His power we can overcome habitual sin.
Embrace the promise. Don’t walk with the world. Walk with the Spirit living in you!
Jesus. The Cornerstone, that bore the weight of our sin, so we are not condemned.
