Hebrews 13:15 “Therefore, through him let us continually offer up to God a sacrifice of praise, that is, the fruit of lips that confess his name.”
Does God make a promise to believers who obey the verse above? We should praise our God even in the dark days. That’s the sacrifice.

Paul and Silas were accused of disturbing the city of Philippi, stripped of their clothing, severely beaten with rods, thrown in jail and put into stocks. All for bringing the Gospel to Philippi.
Through their sleepless suffering, about midnight, Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. How could they sing praise to God after such mistreatment?
Simply, these heroes of the faith modeled sacrificial praise. They praised God in a very dark place and in overwhelming injustice.
By the power of the Holy Spirit, Paul and Silas drew on the Lord’s promises.
Hebrews 13:5 “…I will never leave you or forsake you.”

Think of your toughest day. Could you turn your thoughts from complaining or sorrow to thank God for His plan in your life?
“The Lord is good, a stronghold in a day of distress.
He cares for those who take refuge in Him.” Nahum 1:7

Take one minute today and thank God for everything He has chosen for your life. He did it because He loves you!
