Matthew 19:14 Jesus said, “Leave the little children alone, and don’t try to keep them from coming to me, because the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
Cohen and Gray are featured in today’s Q & A. Next week be watching for 15-year-old Grace.
“When are you coming?” Gray, age 11
Gray, you are not alone. Jesus’ friends, the disciples, were curious too.
Before sharing the signs of His return, Jesus told them not to be afraid, showing His love. He then made a promise. Keep reading; you can find the full conversation linked for you to explore with your mom and dad.

Jesus shared signs with His friends, but He said only God knows when all believers will go to Heaven.
We may not know for sure when Jesus will return, but believers do know that we can trust Jesus to tell the truth. 2 Peter 3:13
Here are some signs Jesus gave to let us know the Rapture may be close.
- People will become more selfish, mean-spirited, forget about God, turn to false religions, and be very greedy for more money.
- There will be more disease and hunger in the world.
- There will be more wars in the nations of the world.
- Christians and Jews will be mistreated even more.

Jesus doesn’t want us to be afraid; He wants us to have the Holy Spirit in our hearts so we can be with Him in Heaven.

Thomas, the disciple who struggled with doubt, had a neat conversation with Jesus. Click the linked verse below.
You see how much Jesus loved Thomas? He didn’t fuss at him for not knowing. He taught him the truth. He loves you like that, too. He loves that you asked such a great question.

He wants you to follow His moral law, but being good alone won’t make you a true Christian. This is the only way to be saved.
Romans 10: 8-11 The message is near you, in your mouth and in your heart. This is the message of faith that we proclaim: If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. One believes with the heart, resulting in righteousness, and one confesses with the mouth, resulting in salvation. For the Scripture says, everyone who believes on him will not be put to shame,
Gray, thank you for sharing this thought-provoking question. I am glad you love God. I love Him, too!
Honor God with every day He gave you and enjoy your unique life!
“What have You been doing in Heaven?” Cohen, age 8
Cohen, your question reflects a genuine curiosity about God, which is one way we learn about Him.
Here are some of the answers that I found to your question.
The Bible says that God is preparing a place for all believers in Heaven. John 14:1-3 It is a mystery now, but it will be wonderful.
Another thing God is doing is watching over His creation including you and me. Psalm 121 and Matthew 6:25-27.
God is never too busy to care when we are sad. Psalm 56:8 beautifully says that God collects our tears in a bottle. This is a symbol of His love.

God is keeping track of the stars. He named them and knows when even one of them burns out.

Another thing He is doing is waiting patiently so that every possible believer will hear the Good News about Jesus and be saved.
God is answering a prayer from Jesus. (John 17) The night before His death, Jesus prayed for all believers to be united with God, Jesus, and each other. God is working on that, too.
God is also paying attention to our prayers. Do you know the Bible tells us that believer’s prayers are like perfume (incense) to Him? Psalm 141:2 Revelation 8:3-4 (There is also a verse in Luke chapter 1 that mentions this. See if you can find it in your Bible. I’ll give you a hint. It’s within the first 10 verses.)

Did you ever think about God singing? Well, He created music, so I guess that makes sense. But He actually sings with us. Zephaniah 3:17. This beautiful passage also tells us other things He is doing in Heaven. God is loving us, is being happy over us and rejoicing over us. He loves blessing His Church.
Mom and dad can help with the next part.
The most important thing God does in Heaven is work through the Holy Spirit daily to bring unbelievers to Himself. John 6:44
He connects us to Jesus, our Friend and Savior, who is in Heaven with God, watching over the earth.
They are never surprised by anything. When we sin, Jesus tells God we are forgiven because of His sacrifice on the cross.
God sees Jesus’ goodness in you. God listens to His Son as He prays for us. (John 17)
Well Cohen, thank you again for sharing your question. Your question helped me to learn more about God, too. Reading your Bible is not always easy. But it’s the best way to know God and to know how to live your life. You have a mom and dad who will always help you.
