Here’s a two-minute study of Psalm 119:9-16
How can a young man keep his way pure? By keeping Your word. Psalm 119:9
Look at these 8 verses and our two key verses. That’s the context.
How do we keep our heart pure before God and this dark world?
As believers, we know that none of us desires holiness and purity on our own. Our natural tendency is to seek contentment and pleasure in any way possible.

The joy of a relationship with God comes from realizing that walking in His way brings true fulfillment.
So, how do we get there?
After committing to Jesus, many believers may find themselves drifting away. Over time, life can distract us, making Jesus more of an afterthought. This distraction can lead to habitual sin.
While it doesn’t mean losing your salvation, don’t you want more than just eternal life? Don’t you want to live in a way that honors God in your daily day?
We have felt the tug of the Holy Spirit, but we push back. There really are enough hours in the day to give Him.
But either our youth has made us busy and driven. Or aging has made us tired and we have aches and pains.
So how do we get back on track? The first place to start is on our knees.
Actually, another Psalm is a great place to start. Psalm 51. You know it…
Be gracious to me, God,
according to your faithful love;
according to your abundant compassion,
blot out my rebellion.
… wash away my guilt
cleanse…my sin.
…my sin is always before me.
Against you—you alone—I have sinned…
You can make this one your own prayer. And then get back to God’s Word everyday.
Don’t replace Bible study with a blog, Christian book or music.
Simply, go to God’s Word.

Talk to Him about everything all day long. Throughout your day, say things like, “Thank You for Your Word, Jesus,” “Help me, Lord,” and “I love You, Father.”
I have treasured your Word in my heart
so that I may not sin against you.
Psalm 119:11
Connect.
Treasure Him. Treasure His Word.
Besides, this is where Jesus has been all along.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word (Jesus)…
