The Winds and Waves Still Know,
His voice who ruled them while He dwelt below.

Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge!2 NLT
Psalm 46:3

I wonder how many believers are feeling the grip of fear. I have felt that way too.
But, if you walk with God, you want to believe that we have nothing to fear. Does God really expect us not to be afraid?
Here is what I’ve learned in my walk with Jesus.
– I will be fearful if I don’t stay faithful to God.
– Fearful events come and go.
– I have no control over this dark world. But God does.
– God preserves my mind and my soul from being destroyed by fear.
– Satan prowls around trying to rob me of peace with God…
– …and he succeeds when I step away from the Word, prayer, fellowship with believers, my duty to the Great Commission, and loving others.
But…
when I think, that God, His Son not sparing;3
Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in;
That on the Cross, my burden gladly bearing,
He bled and died to take away my sin.

If God’s innocent Son can save me from sin and death, then He can also give me peace from my fear. And He has.
My testimony is linked below. I wanted you to know that I understand being afraid.
Mark 4:39 And he woke up, rebuked the wind, and said to the waves, “Hush now! Be still!” The wind dropped and everything was very still. J.B. Phillips 5
