2 Chronicles 20:12 “…For we have no might against this great company that comes against us…” WEB
We are going to take a break from kid’s questions, just for this week. Mom’s and dad’s and anyone else taking care of kid’s that you love and care for, this is for you.
How do I help my children walk with God?
Ephesians 6:4 “Fathers, don’t frustrate your children with no-win scenarios. Take them by the hand and lead them in the way of the Master.” The Message
- Obey God in your own lives before you expect that of your children.
- Do not lie to them about anything.
- Take them to church.
- Let them see you love God, not just talk about loving Him.
- 2 Chronicles 20:12 “…We don’t know what to do, but our eyes are on you.” CSB
- Love others without expecting anything in return.
- Don’t disparage people.
- Love your spouse even when it’s hard.
- 2 Chronicles 20:12 “… All Judah stood before Yahweh, with their little ones, their wives, and their children….” CSB
- Pray and let them see you pray.
- Show them that when you are afraid you trust in God. Don’t just tell them not to be afraid.
- Keep your word. God keeps His, always.
- They aren’t too young to read God’s Word. The Spirit teaches all of us.
- Psalm 119:105 “Your word is a lamp for my feet and a light on my path.” CSB
- Share.
- Don’t fill their lives with the prosperity gospel. That is a lie, and it is unfair to all of the people who trust it but who find no provision in it.
- Teach them instead that the abundant life is peace with God and all of the spiritual blessings that He gives.
- Our trust is in the Savior who never leaves and never forsakes.
- Our trust is in the Lord who wants every person to come to repentance
