“Thank you.”
Matthew 11:25 Then Jesus said, `Father, you are Lord of heaven and earth. I thank you because you have hidden these things from people who are wise and know many things. But you have shown them to people who are like children.
For November, Seed Basket Devotional’s “Just A Minute!” series will focus on gratitude. What better example to start with than the thankful heart of Jesus?
During His time on earth, Jesus thanked God with a pure heart of devotion.
God’s Word encourages us to be thankful for everything.
Jesus’ love and obedience guided Him to be grateful throughout His life, even in the face of death.
Wrap your mind around that.
Jesus taught us how to give thanks by example, to have humility of heart and sacrifice of self.

Thankfulness

Like Jesus, our obedience is the outflow of gratitude to God. Thanking Him reflects His presence within you!
Gratitude doesn’t originate with people though.
People often complain and feel unhappy.
We often forget to say “Thank You!” to God, even when we are happy and content. But we should do better.
And on the hard days, still give thanks.
We can’t understand every sorrow, but we can trust that God is always good. He isn’t responsible for evil and suffering.
Read Psalm 103. You will see the loving heart of God.
As Thanksgiving approaches, take time to express gratitude for all that God has done.
Isn’t she beautiful?

The joy and thankfulness in that little heart is a lovely picture of praise. I know the Savior smiles on little hearts like that. And He smiles on you, too! Sing to Him every day!
