Your hands made me and formed me;
give me understanding
so that I can learn Your commands.
Psalm 119:73

God’s touch is clear in the lives of His children. He loves us personally and with passion.
In Psalm 119:73, the Psalmist reminds us that God completes what He starts in us.
He remains connected like a caring father and assures us that He will always be with us until the end.
That attentive nature of God displays His mercy in big and small ways.
Commit to your walk with God and see His work in your life.
You will notice His impact in the lives of those you touch.
Every time you look back you will see how He never leaves. You will be so thankful.
You will see scars from sinful choices and loving discipline.
You will see beauty, not the kind to boast about, as if you were the artist. You will see the beauty of the Creator’s design.
All that is good in a believer comes from God.

God’s commands are for our benefit. We should love and follow His law.
We depend on God’s decrees for everything.
From His law, we learn about grace, wisdom, mercy, justice, love, and forgiveness.
When we look at the work of art God has created in our lives, we will repent of our complaining.
We will sincerely thank Him for every choice He made for us, even the difficult ones.
Why? Because our wonderful Creator has done all things well and is guiding us home to Him.
Here are a few thoughts for some of the remaining verses in this short section.
74 Those who fear you will see me and rejoice, for I put my hope in Your Word.
This passage simply means that when God’s grace is on our lives as believers, His constant presence is displayed.
God never leaves nor fails us. That is why we can wholly trust Him.
79 Let those who fear you, those who know your decrees, turn to me.
When people are without the Word of God, they do not revere Him.
We can’t honor God without loving and obeying His law.
The last phrase, “turn to me,” shows David’s deep desire. He wants his life to be a comforting example to other believers.
I hope you will read the remaining verses in our study for this week. Psalm 119:73-80
Read it out loud. Honor and praise our God. He loves you so much. I hope you love Him, too.
