Take one minute to learn the context of-
Everlasting Father

For a child will be born for us,
a son will be given to us,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
He will be named
Wonderful Counselor,
Mighty God,
Everlasting Father,
Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:6
This familiar verse describes our Savior’s love when He comes back to fulfill His promise to restore Israel.
Of course all the redeemed will know Jesus as described in the verse.
Many of us never see the context of the verse.
Recently, I was shown the true meaning of Jesus’ title, Everlasting Father.
Everlasting Father literally means that God’s, fatherhood, has no end. He will return as a father for His own – forever!
In His fatherhood, Jesus is a loving protector and provider who is always here. He won’t die again or leave His children.
God gave the Messiah to save Israel and all who would ever accept His gift of grace.
God, in His fatherhood, offers His eternal protection from sin and death.
This protection is for all who love and receive His Son.
