Psalm 119:83 Though I have become like a wine skin dried by smoke, I do not forget your statutes.

One of the difficulties of the believer’s life is dealing with people who cause us to feel stressed. You know what I mean. We don’t always face persecution because of our walk with God.
But, when we face injustice at work, school or just in general, that can distract us from the guiding help of God’s Word. It can also make us push the voice of the Spirit away.
Quite often, Christians have struggles just coping with people who either don’t follow Christ or other believers who don’t walk closely with Him.
When we face personal or professional attacks, it can be stressful because we want to stay true to God’s precepts, but we may feel tempted to react out of self-preservation. There are many sinful responses we could choose.
Living in this world is quite a challenge to those who love and serve Jesus. It isn’t always easy.
So, how does the Psalmist help us in this passage?
I long for your salvation; I put my hope in your word. Psalm 119:81
How would you even know this hope without reading God’s Word? That is one certain way to know how to live out our faith in a broken and unjust world.

And the Psalmist also looks forward to God’s promise.
Give me life in accordance with your faithful love, and I will obey the decree you have spoken. Psalm 119:88
God wants you to understand that having life in Him may not be easy, but He is always faithful.
Your life is precious to Him. The injustice of mankind can’t take that from you. God’s faithful love is proven by every promise kept.
Instead of reacting to unkindness or negativity at work, school, or even from family, make Jesus a priority in your life. Read the Bible, pray, connect with fellow believers, share His promises, and praise His name.
Please read today’s section of Psalm 119. I have pasted it below.
My eyes grow weary looking for what you have promised; I ask, “When will you comfort me?”
Though I have become like a wine skin dried by smoke, I do not forget your statutes.
How many days must your servant wait? When will you execute judgment on my persecutors?
The arrogant have dug pits for me; they violate your instruction.
All your commands are true; people persecute me with lies—help me!
They almost ended my life on earth, but I did not abandon your precepts.
Give me life in accordance with your faithful love, and I will obey the decree you have spoken.
