Psalm 119:94 I am yours; save me,
for I have studied your precepts.

As we continue to explore Psalm 119, let’s focus on a verse that confirms our salvation.
The key verse above truly is a way to verify that you know God in a personal way.
So, how is that possible. After all, the verse doesn’t mention anything about redemption, does it?
Well, yes it does. First of all, the writer of this Psalm is confessing that He belongs to God with his first words. “I am Yours.” What a great thing to be able to say. Can you say that?
The fact that you are reading this tells me that you are either born again already or you are seriously seeking God. Lost people don’t initiate the steps to find God. He pursues them by His kind Spirit.
Then look at the last part of the verse. “…for I have studied your precepts.” Sincerely studying God’s Word shows that you belong to Him. There are lost people searching for something spiritual, but it’s not always Jesus.
“…for I have studied your precepts.”

Thankfully, people occasionally respond to a tugging on their heart by the Spirit to faith in Christ. When that happens, their study of scripture leads to salvation, but they don’t get there alone. Everyone has a choice to either submit to Christ or not. However, we never start out looking for Christ.
I hope you will read the remaining verses in this section. This Psalm reminds us of God’s closeness and emphasizes the importance of knowing and following His guidelines.
Lord, your word is forever. it is firmly fixed in heaven.
Your faithfulness is for all generations;
you established the earth, and it stands firm.
Your judgments stand firm today,
for all things are your servants.
If your instruction had not been my delight,
I would have died in my affliction.
I will never forget your precepts,
for you have given me life through them.
I am yours; save me,
for I have studied your precepts.
The wicked hope to destroy me,
but I contemplate your decrees.
I have seen a limit to all perfection,
but your command is without limit.
