Here is a link to next week’s series on Romans 8
Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation, to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. KJV
No condemnation.
Paul, the apostle wrote this knowing full well that he should have been condemned.

Instead, he was redeemed.
Saul, as he was known before he met Jesus, was a relentless murderer. He pursued professing Christians with a heart full of hateful determination.
And then he met Jesus.
Jesus had been crucified before Saul’s life-changing day. (click the link to read about Jesus speaking to Saul).
“Why are you persecuting me, Saul?”.
“Who are you? Lord?”
You see, Saul was a Pharisee. He considered himself to be very religious. But he was attacking the people who loved and believed in Jesus.
And by hating them, he was hating Jesus. He hated the God whose law he kept with fervor.
Doesn’t make much sense, does it?
But read the conversation he had with Jesus. (click the link above)
Saul gave his heart to Jesus and nothing was ever the same.

And I imagine that Paul was inspired to write Romans 8:1 by something Jesus told another Pharisee shortly before He died.
Do you remember Nicodemus? Most of us know the most famous verse in the world. John 3:16.
But Jesus followed that verse with
John 3:17.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
No condemnation.
For whom?
For those who do not chase after worldly pleasures and do not worship their physical and material desires, but instead respond to God’s Spirit when He calls them to be saved.
No condemnation…
…for those who turn away from sin and walk in the pathway of the Spirit of God.
