As we have walked through the 119th Psalm, haven’t you seen it? The changeless God who is not far away.
He hates injustice. He hates the sin that destroys lives. He loves people.
The world does not believe it or just doesn’t want Him. They want control and self-determination, but that godless quest will never satisfy their hearts.
King David knew God, well. I wish there were more people like David. Though he failed often as a man, parent, husband and king he was a warrior in pursuit of God who pursued him first. He knew what so few people really know.
But you are near, O Lord,
all your commands are true.
I have known from my earliest days
your laws will last forever.
Psalm 119:151-152
