Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy. Matthew 5:7 (WEB)
Are you merciful? Do you let offenses go, or do you judge others harshly?
Beatitude – Supreme Blessedness

I admit, I am not always as merciful as Jesus expects me to be.
The Spirit living in me confronts me with my sin. And I am so glad that He does.
Though I will surely fail to treat others mercifully at times, the Spirit will help me.
I love the verse in Micah that defines what God expects from His children.
…the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you:
to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God Micah 6:8 (NLT)
Not so easy, is it?
love mercy

But you go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,’ for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” Matthew 9:13 (WEB)
Jesus showed mercy to those who accepted His gift of salvation instead of punishment and death .
The next time you have a chance, show mercy be sensitive to the Spirit’s tug.
The Cage is the story of a man in a cage of demon possession. He received mercy.
