Together, we have been learning about God’s plan to guide our footsteps through life by following His laws, testimonies, statutes, judgments, and commandments. *
Here’s a question for you to test your memory. Do you remember the Psalm that is the sister to Psalm 119? Go back to chapter one if you need a reminder.
Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path
Psalm 119:105 (KJV)
So why call this series “A New Beginning”? Simply because I want to wake up each morning determined to keep God’s law, relying on the Spirit of God as my Teacher. I desire His word to flow from my life, not just my mouth, showing that all my profit comes from God, unrelated to wealth, happiness, or health.
To live fully for my Savior, and Friend, I need to begin each day ready to follow Him.
I should have His plan in my heart, which comes from knowing His Word. This will keep me on track and will allow Him to restore me when I falter.
His Word will draw me to love Him more, share His Word, and treasure the life He has chosen for me as a gift.
I am not going expound on this week’s passage except to point out one thing. See how many of the watch words * in the opening of this blog that are also in the verse below.
Let’s let God speak to each of hearts in the way that only He can.
Psalm 119:169-176 (CSB)
Let my cry reach you, Lord;
give me understanding according to your word.
Let my plea reach you;
rescue me according to your promise.
My lips pour out praise,
for you teach me your statutes.
My tongue sings about your promise,
for all your commands are righteous.
May your hand be ready to help me,
for I have chosen your precepts.
I long for your salvation, Lord,
and your instruction is my delight.
Let me live, and I will praise you;
may your judgments help me.
I wander like a lost sheep;
seek your servant,
for I do not forget your commands.
Next Friday we will begin a new study. I hope you will continue to read the Seed Basket and share the Gospel in your world.
“Early will I seek Thee.” Psalm 63:1 (KJV)
