But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his possession, so that you may proclaim the praises of the one who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
1 Peter 2:9 (CSB)
God’s love so sure, shall still endure,1
all measureless and strong;
grace will resound the whole earth round—
the saints’ and angels’ song.
Chosen. Royal. Holy. God’s precious possession.

And for all of that I can sing His praise and walk in His light. Because of that relationship I have access to God through Jesus and the Spirit.
So how should that transform my life?
Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice, all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all slander.
1 Peter 2:1 (CSB)
If every believer chose to keep malice, secrets, deception, hypocrisy, envy, and gossip out of our lives, the world would see Jesus more easily in us.
Can we really live such diligent lives?
Here’s a great way to start.
Like newborn infants, desire the pure milk of the Word, so that by it you may grow up into your salvation,
1 Peter 2:2
Reach out to your world with what you know about Jesus. There are so many walking around us who are on the outside. We have no excuse for keeping this to ourselves.
