“See, I have written your name on the palms of my hands. “
Isaiah 49:16 (NLT)
Jesus took her by the hand and helped her sit up.
Being moved with compassion, Jesus reached out and touched him. “I Am willing.”
Holding her hand, he said to her, “Talitha koum,” (little girl rise)
A woman with fever, a leper, and a dead girl; Jesus was forbidden by Jewish law to touch them, as it would make Him ceremonially unclean.
But Jesus didn’t hesitate. He came to heal souls by touching them.
There is nothing quite like a touch. It is personal. It is close.
This lesson reminded me of a sweet touch from my four-year-old grandson, Mason, who sat between his mom and me, playing with his toys. While my daughter and I chatted, he unexpectedly reached up and held my hand for about ten seconds, all while staying focused on his world of make-believe. I will never forget what that meant to me.

I am blessed with the love of family and friends, and I get to share that love. Yet human love is not sufficient without Jesus.
In this broken world, I believe the answer to our sorrow is a simple truth: we need a touch from Jesus.
Jesus is here through the Spirit—alive inside each heart that believes. He wants to save the lost. He wants His children to reach the hurting world.
Prepare your heart for Jesus to touch others through you. See where He’s working, and you will know what to do.
You will miss the chance every time if you don’t stay connected to Jesus. Read the Bible, talk to Him.
Pray for God to use you in His time and in His way. Prepare to be useful. You know what to do.
… shape and fashion us in Your likeness.
