“Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”
Psalm 119:105 (KJV)
God’s Word.
What do we do with it?
Well, I know one thing. We teach it to our children and grandchildren.
This is summertime, and one thing always happens in many churches in America.
Vacation Bible School!

New friends are made, and children learn the Gospel along with lessons about Jesus and the basic tenets of our faith.
One of the week’s big events is the daily march into the church, led by three children, each carrying a symbol of our faith and freedom: the Christian and American flags and the Bible.
VBS holds many other timeless traditions like making Bible themed crafts, singing, playing and making lifelong friendships.
At VBS, the Holy Spirit connects the lives of kind and godly teachers to children helping them make decisions to live for and follow Christ.

The weeklong adventure culminates in commencement, the final day of VBS, where children showcase what they’ve learned about God.
Here is an article from Got Questions, on the beginnings of Vacation Bible School.
I have readers from other countries. If your home country has a Vacation Bible School equivalent, share it with Seed Basket. It’s uplifting to hear how the Gospel is shared globally.
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;
Ephesians 6:17 (KJV)victory
Here are the pledges to the Bible and to the Christian flag

I pledge allegiance to the Bible
God’s Holy Word
I will make it a Lamp unto my feet
A Light unto my path
And will hide its words in my heart
That I might not sin against God.

I pledge allegiance to the Christian flag
And to the Savior for whose kingdom it stands.
One brotherhood
Uniting all mankind
in service and in love.
