But these things don’t count; nor do I hold my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to fully testify to the Good News of the grace of God.
Acts 20:24 (WEB)
I have many friends and family who love Jesus with all of their might.
Most every day their life is spent pursuing His desire for them. None of them chase wealth or notoriety. Virtually every one of them will tell you that they have not always lived that way.
Like most believers, even those who start out strong, wind up being sucked in by the vortex of life’s distractions.

Some, for a time, even put their faith on the back burner and focus on the pleasures and materialism of life.
Do you think those early days that were lived outside of God’s plan were wasted?
Well, in one sense, yes. God’s very best desire will never be known to them or for them.
Why?
Because they tossed it aside. They will give an account of those wasted moments, as we all will.
So then each one of us will give account of himself to God.
Romans 14:12 (WEB)
But God does not treat our next step like plan “B.” He wasn’t surprised by our bad choices. He knows everything about us.
But He has a plan to draw us back to a place of usefulness.
And though our redemption is never won by our own good works, (Ephesians 2:8-9), we have been born for a purpose. (Ephesians 2:10)
For we must all be revealed before the judgment seat of Christ that each one may receive the things in the body according to what he has done, whether good or bad.
2 Corinthians 5:10 (WEB)

But go back to the key verse at the top of the page. Can I get you to read it aloud?
Within that verse are two amazing realities.
Do you see it?
Jesus designed a plan for your life. That plan is for you to share the Gospel, and He designed a plan for those on the outside to be brought into relationship with God.
Not only is your life worth everything to Jesus, but so are the lost people that God can touch through your life.
He could do it without you. But He doesn’t want to.
God has a plan for you even if you have messed up everything to this point.
You are not worthless.
No matter how far you have wandered off the path, the Spirit of the living God can do anything to help you finish your journey so that you can hear seven extraordinarily meaningful words from our Savior.
“…Well done, thou good and faithful servant…”
Matthew 25:21 (KJV)
Take the time to read these. They will help you understand the joy of serving our Savior faithfully from now on.
