“…and the name of the city from that day shall be, ‘Yahweh is there.”
Ezekiel 48:35 (WEB)
Yahweh Shammah. God is there.
Please click the link for context. It is vital that we do not ever interpret God’s Word to make it simply a poetic, feel-good narrative.
This scripture in Ezekiel discusses the Davidic covenant God will keep with Israel during the Millennium, where Jesus reigns on Earth as the eternal King from David’s line.
But, while this verse today in Ezekiel 38:35 was not about Gentiles, we can still apply this verse today. Why? Because every Gentile that is redeemed, has been adopted into God’s family. That’s you and me!
So, let’s take a look at this beautiful name for God.
God is there. God never leaves His children. You cannot go anywhere that God can’t see you. Look at this.
Where can I go from Your Spirit?
Or where can I flee from Your presence?
If I ascend into heaven, You are there;
If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there
Psalm 139:7-8 (KJV)
Abba, Father ~ Yahweh Shammah
Always there.

For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear,
but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out,
“Abba, Father.”
