“…and the Lord closed the door behind Noah…”
Genesis 7:16 (NASB)
God closed the door of the Ark.
Did you know that?
Why didn’t Noah simply close himself, his family, and the animals into safety?
Because he could not save himself or anyone else.
God closed them in to show His sovereignty, that salvation comes from Him alone, and judgement had begun.
Noah could have disobeyed and perished or obeyed God and received the salvation offered to him.
Mankind is responsible for receiving the gift of grace when the Spirit offers it.

“Today if you hear His voice Do not harden your hearts.”
Hebrews 4:7 (NASB)
Once the door to the Ark was closed, then the time for judgement of mankind began.
Today, once the door of salvation is closed to any human heart, the same judgment will apply.
Jesus is our “Ark” of salvation.
“I am the door; if anyone enters through Me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture.”
John 10:9 (NASB)
