All a person’s ways seem right to him, but the Lord weighs hearts.
Proverbs 21:2 (ESV)
True or False : You can live long enough to become spiritually fully aware and avoid every sinful way.
Of course, that’s simply false. Just believing that is a sin because it is arrogance, which is a sin.
The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?
Jeremiah 17:9 (ESV)

Thankfully, the Lord knows every heart. He exposes the deceit by His Spirit living in believing hearts. And those of us who are devoted to God and love Him choose to submit to the work of the Spirit.
For those who live according to the flesh
set their minds on the things of the flesh,
but those who live according to the Spirit
set their minds on the things of the Spirit.
For to set the mind on the flesh is death,
but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.
Romans 8:5-6 (ESV)
Recently, I read about a man who had lived most of his seventy-plus years in wealth and notoriety. He had no desire to follow Christ until one day he happened to read Romans chapter 8. The Holy Spirit opened his heart in a way that only the Spirit can. This man could see how wrong his own way had been all his life. Now he saw the Gospel was the way of grace—the right way—for the first time. He gave his heart to Jesus.

The one who pursues righteousness and faithful love will find life, righteousness, and honor.
Proverbs 21:21 (ESV)
Share the Gospel in your world.
Or do you presume on the riches of his kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that God’s kindness is meant to lead you to repentance?
Romans 2:4 (ESV)
Share the Gospel in your world!
