Do not be conquered by evil but conquer evil with good.
Romans 12:21 (CSB)
If there is one standout character in the Bible who conquered evil with good, I bet many of you will think of Joseph from the book of Genesis.
Think of the people who betrayed him: his brothers who abandoned him, Potiphar’s wife who lied and had him imprisoned, and the cupbearer who forgot him after Joseph correctly interpreted a dream about his eventual release from prison.

Joseph honored God with his life anyway. He didn’t retaliate. Tomorrow we will find out how he was blessed by God.
Look how God blessed the people that Joseph did not retaliate against…
“God sent me ahead of you….to save many people, alive.”
Genesis 50:20 (CSB)

Would you trust God enough to not retaliate against your enemies on Earth?
Would you still honor God and obey Him anyway?
Even if you never understand why things turn out in a way that does not make sense in the human realm, can you really trust that God has a great plan?
Will you love Him enough to – overcome evil with good instead of being overcome by evil.
I sure hope so. There’s just nothing like this love!
How beautiful
are the feet of those
who share Good News!
