Here is a link to last week’s series, Upside down.
While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. I have kept those whom You have given Me. None of them is lost except the son of destruction, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.
John 17:12 (WEB)

Have you ever wondered why Jesus washed Judas’ feet and shared the bread with him at the last supper, knowing full well that he had already given himself to Satan’s cause?
Before you answer that question in your mind, look at the scriptures that verify this.
I don’t speak concerning all of you. I know whom I have chosen; but that the Scripture may be fulfilled, ‘He who eats bread with me has lifted up his heel against me.’
John 13:18 (WEB)
After the piece of bread, then Satan entered into him. Then Jesus said to him, “What you do, do quickly.”
John 13:27 (WEB)

Actually, these verses were based on this passage
Yes, my own familiar friend, in whom I trusted,
who ate bread with me,
has lifted up his heel against me.
Psalm 41:9 (WEB)
Jesus knew that Judas was lost. But doesn’t the opening of the passage below grip your heart?
Now before the feast of the Passover, Jesus, knowing that his time had come that he would depart from this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.
John 13:1 (WEB)
That’s how Jesus loves us, demonstrating His love for His Father without deviating from God’s plan. Father and Son. A great love for the world. A desire that all would be saved. Even to the point of Christs’ suffering.
Jesus’ obedience reflects their unity, beautifully expressed in John chapter seventeen, the breathtaking High Priestly Prayer of Jesus, which we will explore in a few weeks.
In the full onslaught of Judas’ betrayal, Jesus continued to glorify God by loving Judas. He washed his feet and ate with him. But He did not dishonor God by tolerating His sinful rejection.
Judas chose the darkness. The Bible only ever records Judas referring to Jesus as Rabbi. This term is translated as teacher. Judas never refers to Christ as Messiah or Lord, yet each of the other disciples did.
Judas walked with Messiah, the Light of the World. He saw the miracles and witnessed the changed lives. But he didn’t believe.
Jesus told the disciples, “From now on, I tell you before it happens, that when it happens, you may believe that I am he.
John 13:19

This story of Judas is tragic and sad. But his is the choice that every living soul must make.
Be sure that you have made the choice. And share the Gospel in your world.
I have pasted a great resource below if you have questions about how to share the Gospel or if you need to talk with someone about your own faith in Jesus.
By the way, this week, we saw the word believe used 1 time in the verse below. That brings our total in thirteen chapters to seventy-four uses of the word believe. What is this great thought doing for you as a BELIEVER?
How beautiful upon the mountains
are the feet of the those
who share the Gospel of Peace.
Isaiah 52:7
