And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us,
and we beheld His glory,
the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,
full of grace and truth.
John 1:14
In one breathless moment our Savior came down to touch us.

Jesus was with us. He walked with people and touched them. He didn’t draw back from lowly people. When they appeared untouchable, He went out of His way to touch them.
If they were burdened by their wealth and fame, He showed them how to embrace humility and service.
He modeled peace in the depths of fear and joy in the torrents of oppressive temptation.
He remained unstained by sin.
And while Jesus was walking on this earth as a man, His glory as God was in full view. His glory is what was irresistible to those who believed. They just saw that in His mercy and tenderness, and in His devotion to His Father.
His grace and truth were what stirred deep animosity and jealousy in the wicked religious leaders.
Some people got to see Him and touch Him and hear His voice.
They have told us the stories of His miracles and of His redeeming love.
Everyone who lived around Him in those days saw that He was different from anyone they had ever known.
These centuries later, the Light of the world is still walking among us. He is still reaching for the deplorable, the week, the poor, the rich, the burdened, the sick.
Behold – that is an old sounding word, isn’t it? But it says it all. It means to take something in fully.
Behold His glory. Behold-your King.
Jesus.
The Light of the world.
In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.
And the light shines in the darkness
and the darkness did not comprehend it.
John 1:4 & 5
