Here is a link to last week’s series, A Light for My Path.
Our scripture to memorize this week: Ephesians 6:14-16 (NKJV)
Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one.
Well, this is our third week in memorizing passages from God’s Word. How are you doing?
This whole passage from Ephesians chapter six offers a graphic mental image of God’s protective spiritual armor, doesn’t it?
Can’t you just envision a knight’s full suit of armor?

But our Holy Spirit’s protection is more involved than that. He lives inside us. He moves and breathes within the believing heart. If we draw nearer to Him in our relationship, we can sense that Prescence. We can know the safety that only belongs to God’s children. Not safety from the troubles of the world. Not promises of prosperity and ease. But this promise:
“…I will never leave you or forsake you…”
Hebrews 13:5 (NKJV)
and this…
For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:38-39 (NKJV)

I love how the Spirit has stirred my heart with His Word. Memorizing this passage from Ephesians 6 has taken some work, but it has been worth it.
Feel free to comment on your journey.
Encourage others that you know to join us. I hope that this will be a growing effort for years to come. Please pray for one another. The enemy hates this endeavor. But our Savior is glorified.
Share the Good News in your world!
