Here is a link to last week’s series, A Light for My Path.
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.
Ephesians 6:17 & 18 (NKJV)
I am encouraged to be joined by many faithful readers who are committed to memorizing God’s Word. There is strength in our numbers as we support each other in prayer as a family of faith.
That is actually what we are told to do in our memory verse for this week. To pray for one another. “…with all prayer…with all perseverance,,,for all the saints…”

We may not know one another, but God sees each of us and knows our names. He has brought each of us together in this way to glorify Him.
To make this passage a bit easier, simply deconstruct it first.
- take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit
- which is the word of God
- praying always with all prayer and supplication
- in the Spirit
- being watchful
- with all perseverance and supplication
- for all the saints.
So, just a quick re-cap of what we have learned so far:
- Our strength comes from dwelling in the Lord and in the power of His might.
- Put on the armor of God and prepare for the oppression that will surely come in this dark age.
- Our fight isn’t with difficult people or circumstances as much as it is from the spiritual hosts of wickedness around us.
- Be determined to stand in the strength of God’s Word and His Truth. You can only do that if you commit it to your heart.
- Stand on His truth, never waver from His moral law and His righteousness, commit your way to His Gospel of peace; above all, stand on your faith that God has defeated the adversary.
As you memorize God’s Word, be sure to share the Good News in your world!
