“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.”
John 1:14
I wonder if you see a connection between today’s key verse and the key verse from Monday’s devotion. The reminder is intentional.
Take a look.
Hebrews 1 and John 1 show God’s deep love for the Lord Jesus, and for humanity. These passages also reveal Jesus’ radiant glory and grace as He came to obey the Father and redeem sinners.
Hebrews 1 and John 1 show God’s deep love for Jesus and humanity, as well as Jesus’ glory and grace when He came to Earth to obey the Father and save sinners.
He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
His Son is the radiance of His glory… Hebrews 1:3

The Son shows God’s glory and perfectly reflects His nature of love and justice-and grace.
Jesus is the Son, the co-Creator, He perfectly sustains creation and defends His eternal plan. Jesus purified sinners at the cross by the shedding of His blood and has all power and authority. Jesus stands at the Father’s throne in Heaven.
His glory is magnified by our praise and by our righteous acts of mercy, forgiveness, obedience to God’s moral law and love for others. 1 Corinthians 10:31 & Matthew 5:16
let your light shine

See Jesus in the passage below.
For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
John 1:16-17
I need no other argument.
I need no other plea.
It is enough that Jesus died.
And that He died for me.1

By Christs’ glorious power and love His sons and daughters are kept in His grasp, never to be lost.
Jesus’ sacrifice for sinners is such a priceless treasure to God. God not only accepted Jesus’ sacrifice on our behalf, but He recognizes it as outlasting time and eternity.
God also sees His Son’s holy and loving gift of grace as perfect, but He wants mankind to understand that there are no others worthy of standing in Jesus’ place as our mediator. 1 Timothy2:5
When you believe in Jesus, you understand what others can’t see. They refuse to see because of hard hearts. Jeremiah 18:12
Believers seek to glorify, love, and honor Jesus, sharing the Gospel so others can know the Truth that lives in you.
Believers despise their sin and grieve when stuck in the old ways. Nothing is right until they repent and turn back.
If that isn’t your experience, something is missing.
The Glory of Jesus also shines in other ways.
Jesus shines in-
how the disciples responded to the treasure of the glory of Christ Jesus. John 2:11
His life before and at creation John 1:1-5
His earthly existence, which drew sick and sinful people to Him Mark 10:46-52
His Lordship and glory through the miracles He performed Matthew 14
His transfiguration Matthew 17:2
His resurrection Matthew 28
His ascension Luke 24:40
the rapture of the Church 1 Thessalonians 4:16
and as He is seated with the Father in Heaven Romans 8:34-35
and in power and truth when He returns to rule on earth. Revelation 22
Do you see the Glory of our majestic Savior, now a little more clearly?
How thankful we should be that He chose obedience to the Father and love for mankind instead of claiming His right to never leave Heaven to walk on this dark, sinful earth.
We should determine to be more aware of our speech, deeds, and motives that could dishonor the Redeemer of our lives. How blessed you are to know Jesus and be made whole by His love and grace!

For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
2 Corinthians 4:6
