Dear Seed Basket readers,
I have a special prayer request to ask of you.
Seed Basket Devotional has begun a series on Tuesdays, entitled “A Light for My Path.” The series is designed to encourage believers to commit God’s Word to memory.
I am thankful for the readers joining this challenging journey. There is strength in numbers, even if we don’t know each other’s names. God sees us.
Many of you are already faithful to memorizing scripture through your own personal devotional time or through your local Church. That’s great! Keep it up!
My request is simply this. whether you are participating in the Seed Basket endeavor or your own scripture memory journey, please remember to pray for one another. (1 Peter 5:8 & 9)

The pull away from God’s Word by things in the world is very compelling. Even good things, like family time, work and rest all tug at our daily moments.
Believers should never sacrifice knowing God’s Word for anything else. If we hide God’s Word in our hearts, there is nothing, good or evil, that can take that from us.
Let me tell you how I know. There was an old pastor friend of mine that cherished God’s Word. When he was in his eighties he developed dementia. He didn’t know his family or any other familiar thing. But he could still quote whole passages from God’s Word.
Please pray for each other. Pray for Seed Basket Devotional to continue to reach others with the Good News about Jesus.
For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
Ephesians 3:14-16
