Here is a link to last week’s series, A Light for My Path.
This week we will focus on Romans 8:14-17.
Since we started our journey together to memorize Romans 8, have you begun to see how the Gospel is so clearly presented step by step?
But Romans 8 is so much more than presenting the Gospel to first time believers.
Romans 8 offers assurance of faith to all believers, even those who have believed for a long time.
Each passage is God’s masterful way of telling the hard and loving truth about the ravages of sin. At the same time it reveals how the redeemed have nothing to fear.
Yet, how can we not fear in this dark and scary world when the specter of war and unrest surrounds all of us?
I bet you remember these words from Jesus- John 16:33
Also, if you are a child of God then He promises not to lose one of His own. John 10
And finally, our own study for this week, Romans 8, is filled with victorious statements of encouragement for you and me.
Take a look.
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons and daughters of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.”
The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,
and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.
Romans 8:14-17
God’s love for us is so indescribable. God desires for us to know Him as Abba. He wants us to walk through this life with confidence and assurance that nothing can separate us from His love.
So, I hope that this week you will live like a confident child of the King.
