Simple faith. The mere concept is laughable to the world. Faith in a God they cannot see or hear?
Well, our faith is not laughable. But it is mysterious in many ways, even to you and me.
Still, we know that one day, all of the mysteries will be fully revealed. (1 John 3:2; Romans 8:18-19)
True believers do know this secret. Our faith is found in Jesus when we humbly trust by faith and believe.
It is the Holy Spirit that leads someone to repentance. (Romans 2:4)
There is a dangerous decision that some people make. It is filled with hubris disguised as an attempt to soften God.
Many times, people determine to update God and make Him relevant by editing His Word and muting Him altogether.

The reason this is a perilous thing to do is that those who are guilty of this sin are either lost and believe themselves to be redeemed, or they have chosen to speak about God without reading His Word. That makes them simply ignorant believers guilty of mishandling God’s Word and misleading others.
It is not difficult to understand what God is like. God’s Word and His deeds towards mankind are replete with His attributes. His world is just teeming with the splendors of creation that no other reasoning could ever explain.
Yet lost people miss these wonders every day. That is because their hearts have been captured by their desire for worldly affections. (Galatians 5:17)
For instance, I recently heard a woman explaining how loving and wonderful God is. She had so many material blessings.
But the longer she spoke, the more I realized something was missing. Her statement offered no real evidence of Christ living in her heart.
I kept waiting to hear her say something about her faith. I was hoping she would. She had the perfect platform to share Christ. But everything she said was impersonal and vague.
Then she said, “I believe in evolution. God used it to make all of this creation….” But she didn’t even say why she thought evolution was credible.
Everything else was poetic and sweet. She seemed to be a kind person, one that we all would hope knows the Savior. But she is wrong, and not because I say so.
God did not use evolution. Evolution is a man-made theory. It was the concept of a man who rejected God.
Actually many scientists are responsible for propelling this theory. Their theory debunks our Creator.
Evolution necessarily opposes everything that God explicitly stated in His Word.
The Bible says that the universe was simply created by His Word. Nothing more, nothing less.
Evolutionists proudly claim the ungodly notion, “survival of the fittest.”
Jesus totally dismantles that wicked view in many ways by treasuring all life, by loving the least, and by creating us in God’s image.
So you see, you cannot have two beliefs and have faith in God. (John 14:6). That is not faith.
This is faith-
Now faith is the reality of what is hoped for, the proof of what is not seen.
For by this our ancestors were approved.
By faith we understand that the universe was created by the word of God, (John 1)
so that what is seen was made from things that are not visible
Hebrews 11:1-3 (CSB)

You see, simple, childlike faith is profound. It isn’t simple minded. It is based upon trusting in God’s promises that are always true.
This faith is a mystery unraveled in the hearts of every believer as they study God’s Word, and grow in His grace.
Our faith is not always neat and tidy. We struggle and fall. We fear and wonder. We hurt.
But with resolve as faithful believers …
“…let us lay aside every hindrance and the sin that so easily ensnares us. Let us run with endurance the race that lies before us, keeping our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith…”
