“Can I find one?”
Luke 18:8 “…when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on earth?”

Our one-minute Bible study finds Jesus asking a poignant question. How would we answer Him?
For context, this passage is at the end of Jesus’ parable about the persistent widow in Luke 18:1-8. Do you remember her? She persistently pestered a wicked judge to bring justice to an issue with her adversary.
The judge, who has no concern for her welfare or the law, finally gives her justice so that she will …
just leave him alone.

The point of this parable illustrates the type of faithful prayer life that Jesus modeled, and that He expects believers to follow.
Jesus prayed many times during His life on earth. We have over 20 prayers recorded in the New Testament alone, but we know that He was devoted to the Father, and obedient. So, we know He prayed exponentially more than that.
Back to our question. If Jesus came back today, would He find His Church faithful to prayer? Not just cursory prayers to tide Him over. Prayers of faith and believing. Prayers that honor God. Not selfish prayers but prayers submitting to His guidance and will.
Pray showing your deep longing to be kept in His footprints and be thankful. Pray for others, the Church, the lost, for missionaries, and pastors.
Colossians 4:2 Devote yourselves to prayer; stay alert … with thanksgiving.

Today, would He find you faithful?
