Psalm 119:41 Let your faithful love come to me, Lord, your salvation, as you promised.
God’s faithful love is mercy. Do you know that? Have you ever experienced that love?
Every age can seek redemption. God’s Spirit and Word reveal our sins and our need for a Savior.
God’s faithful love reaches out to you first, before you ever think about wanting it.

King David, who wrote many Psalms, knew God as a young boy. Some people discover God’s grace much later in life.
The Psalms often talk about God’s salvation. Today, we will focus on one of those passages.
I got to be there when one of my grandsons first asked about salvation. I will always remember it.
He felt the Spirit tugging at his young heart. He didn’t fully understand, but he sensed God’s Spirit that gave him life.
The Spirit breathed into his heart and made him realize that God wanted a relationship with him.
Like most people, my grandson didn’t know what to do about that.
So, his mom explained – admit sin, repent, accept God’s free gift. Nothing else.
He wasn’t the worst sinner. He was just a little boy, not innocent. Even at six, he needed mercy, just like you and me.
Until the moment that he accepted the free gift, all he could expect was justice. And justice means punishment for sin.
The free gift is mercy and grace. Jesus took our place, the innocent for the guilty. Christ’s blood covers my grandson’s sin so God sees Jesus’ perfect heart instead of a little boy’s failings.

The way is always the same: it is turning to Jesus, through the Spirit.
There are no hoops to jump through, no tears needed, and no guilt to bear.
Simply believe and accept Him.
Jesus has paid for everything once and for all.
In Him, there is life. Abundant. Not in wealth or material things, nor in good health, but in all we truly need.
Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
God’s faithful love –
God’s salvation –
God’s promise – kept. Jesus.
Find a quiet time. Turn off your phone. Open your Bible and read the passage below. Read aloud.
Then tell God, thank you. Tell Him that you love Him and His law. Tell Him that you have gratitude for His salvation that has set you free.
… I trust in your word.
I hope in your judgments.
I will always obey your instructions…
I will walk freely…
…I study your precepts.
I will speak of your decrees…
I will not be ashamed.
I delight in your commands,
I love them.
I will lift up my hands to your commands…
I will meditate on your statutes.
