Answer me when I pray to you, my God who does what is right. Lift the load that I carry. Be kind to me and hear my prayer.
Psalm 1:2 (ICB)
Who is the first person you think of when you need to share a burden? Is it your spouse, a parent or a friend? As soon as I posed that question, I bet one single person came to mind.
There is nothing wrong with having a human heart to share your burdens with—a trusted person. God made us to be connected with fellow believers in marriage, family, or friendship.

But believers know they need the tender, strength of the Holy Spirit. He guides us when times are fearful. He gives wisdom to know the way. His comfort is unexplainable. And I know this firsthand.
More than any person, develop a true committed relationship with the Spirit of God.
You know that the Lord has chosen for himself those who are loyal to him. The Lord listens when I pray to him.
Psalm 4:3 (ICB)

Some believers miss out on the best of their relationship with God. They have been redeemed, but it stops there.
Do what is right as a sacrifice to the Lord. And trust the Lord.
Psalm 4:5 (ICB)
And though the shadows fall in your life, God keeps this tender promise—
I go to bed and sleep in peace. Lord, only you keep me safe.
Psalm 4:8 (ICB)
