A lot of people struggle with doubt about their faith. They wonder if it is real or if they can lose it. So many questions fill our hearts, especially when we go through hardship.
But Jesus gave a comforting answer, not only to validate our faith, but to help us measure our growth. Most often that is the real issue.

We were designed to bring glory to God. If our lives fall short of that, then we need to look to the Spirit and the Word for help.
“In this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; and so, you will be my disciples.”
John 15:8
Let’s see how Jesus can help us.
“Even as the Father has loved me, I also have LOVED YOU
-REMAIN IN MY LOVE.
If you KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS, you will remain in my love, even as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love.”
John 15:9 & 10
Do you see the three little bullet points that we just tend to quickly recite, yet somehow overlook?
Jesus gives us all the resolve to thrive in His love and live — the Vine and the branches — when we remain in His love and keep His commandments.

This does not mean to merely rest in the Christian faith and wait for Heaven to come.
Those who trust Jesus will live fruitful Christian lives and follow the teachings of Christ.
Loving other believers is part of Christs’ command. You must do that just as Jesus loved you.
Sometimes that may require a high cost or courage you are not prepared for. It demands sound knowledge of God’s Word, holy wisdom, and selflessness.
“This is my commandment, that you love one another, even as I have loved you.
Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.”
“I command these things to you, that you may love one another.”
John 15: 12-14

Now the Just a Minute series is an abbreviated devotion, meant to encourage your own study of the Scripture. So let me encourage you to read the full chapter of John 15.
From this, we can learn about being true to His commands, which include our prayer life, which should be pervasive and spontaneous; discipleship, which should be daily or as the Spirit moves; our practice of the Biblical worldview, and God’s moral law, and so much more.
So, get busy. Read the passage. Know your Bible. Know your Savior. And know your faith.
