Worship the Lord with gladness!

Psalm 100:2 (NLT)

A fellow Word Press blogger (thank you fitz77) posted the lyrics to a song on Sunday, and that song reminded me of another old song from the eighties, the decade of the synthesizer but some great lyrics.

My very favorite lyric in the song is the reminder:

Every debt that you’ve ever had
Has been paid up in full by the grace of the Lord.

But my next favorite lyric is this one:

So be like lights on the rim of the water
Giving hope in a storm sea of night

I hope you will be blessed by the amazing spirit filled lyrics of this updated version of Be Ye Glad.

In these days of confused situations
In these nights of restless remorse,
When the heart and the soul of a nation
Lay wounded and cold as a corpse

From the grave of the innocent Adam
Comes a song bringing joy to the sad.
Oh your cry has been heard and the ransom
Has been paid up in full, be ye glad

So be like lights on the rim of the water
Giving hope in a storm sea of night
Be a refuge admist the slaughter
Of these fugitives in their flight

For you are timeless and part of a puzzle.
You are winsome and young as a lad.
And there is no disease or no struggle
That can pull you from God, be ye glad

Chorus:
Oh, be ye glad, oh, be ye glad.
Every debt that you’ve ever had
Has been paid up in full by the grace of the Lord.
Be ye glad, be ye glad, be ye glad1

Be glad; rejoice forever in my creation! And look! I will create Jerusalem as a place of happiness. Her people will be a source of joy. Isaiah 61:10 (NLT)

You have shown me the way of life, and you will fill me with the joy of your presence.’ Acts 2:28 (NLT)
