Do you recall the following Bible verse?
But earnestly desire the higher gifts. And I will show you a still more excellent way.
1 Corinthians 12:31

What other famous scripture does this passage bring to mind?
Maybe this one…
So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
1 Corinthians 13:13
That is an intentional message from Paul.

Excellence. Greatness. Earnestly.
These describe our spiritual gifts and how they enhance our service daily. These gifts define our obedience to God, duties in His Church, and in sharing the Gospel.
Our spiritual gifts are facilitated by faith in Christ. Saving faith in Christ gives us eternal hope (our hope isn’t a wish, but it is a promise kept).
The greatest spiritual gift all believers share is the love of God. His love will go on eternally, after the need for all other spiritual gifts has ended.
Let’s put all of this together.
If, for example, you have the spiritual gifts of teaching, ministering, and hospitality, you can use them because you have faith, hope and God’s love, which makes you radiate God’s glory.
Below are links to the passages about the spiritual gifts that God has inspired. What are your spiritual gifts?
Romans 12:6-8; 1 Corinthians 12:4-8; 1 Peter 4:10-11
