“…For a long time we disobeyed. How will we be saved? All of us are dirty with sin. All the right things we have done are like filthy pieces of cloth. All of us are like dead leaves. Like the wind our sins have carried us away.“
Isaiah 64:5-6

People have always pointed to their innate goodness as a reason why they should be saved.
But God’s Word tells a different story. People are not inherently good.
As the Scriptures say: “There is no one without sin. None!”
Romans 3:10
Instead of relying on a false sense of our goodness as a means to eternal life, let us humbly accept God’s kind truth. Sin will separate us eternally from Him.
We are only counted as righteous when we accept Jesus. He will cover His sons and daughters with His own pure robes. (Zechariah 3:3-5)

Now, we don’t have to struggle under the weight of religious perfection to have peace with God.
All we need is to remember is this:
“Come, we will talk these things over.
Your sins are red like deep red cloth.
But they can be as white as snow.
Your sins are bright red.
But you can be white like wool.”
Isaiah 1:18
