Seed Basket begins a series on the beautiful Psalm 139.
There is a comfort that fills my heart in joyful times and in sorrow. That comfort is the assurance that God knows me, always. He has always known me. Even before I loved Him-He knew me.
God knows you, too.

King David penned a meaningful Psalm about the perfect knowledge of God. There is no imperfection in His thoughts towards me. No arbitrary anger or animosity. He never sins by giving in to my rebellious desires. The perfect knowledge of God towards me is complete in love, kindness, correction, forgiveness, and acceptance.
Those who choose to reject God experience a different reality.
“…And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!“
Matthew 7:23

I want God to know me. I want Him to expose my sin so that I won’t hear those awful words.
If you are God’s child and you are struggling with despair, anxiety, fear, loneliness or just the sense of being invisible to the world, take heart.
God knows your very thoughts-every heartbeat, breath and tear. He has plans for you based on what He knows about you.
O Lord, You have searched me and known me.
You know my sitting down and my rising up;
You understand my thought afar off.
You comprehend my path and my lying down,
And are acquainted with all my ways.
For there is not a word on my tongue,
But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether.
You have hedged me behind and before,
And laid Your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
It is high, I cannot attain it.
Psalm 139:1-6
Let the wonderful ways of God fill you with peace and joy today.
“But You, O Lord, know me; You have seen me, And You have tested my heart toward You…”
Jeremiah 12:3
