Here is a link to last week’s series, Know Me.
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them.”
Ephesians 2:10
People work hard to feel valued and to have others acknowledge their worth. We desire to be seen, loved, and respected.
To some extent, there is nothing inherently wrong with seeking recognition and significance.
However, in our society, this pursuit has become aggressive and narcissistic. This quest for attention causes deep despair when people fail to find that recognition.
When we seek to find fulfillment in anyone besides God, all that we will ever have is meaningless.

But true believers have found that God, our Savior, is all that we need to fill our hearts with contentment.
Think about the intricate work of God in the creation of you and me.
Every person was thought about long before their birth. God individually handcrafted each and every person. He gave us meaning. He created us in His own image.
The passage for this devotion is formatted so that you can intentionally take it in line by line. Read aloud the beautiful image that the Holy Spirit inspired in David.
For you formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well.
My frame wasn’t hidden from you, when I was made in secret,
woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my body.

In your book they were all written, the days that were ordained for me, when as yet there were none of them.
How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is their sum!
If I would count them, they are more in number than the sand.
When I wake up, I am still with you.
Psalm 139:13-18
God loves us with a love that we can never fully understand. Isn’t that more to be desired than anything else in this world? Nothing compares to God’s love for you.

“…Yahweh, your God, is among you, a mighty one who will save. He will rejoice over you with joy. He will calm you in his love. He will rejoice over you with singing.”
Zephaniah 3:17
