Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.
Isaiah 41:10
Look carefully at the key verse. What caught your attention?
For me, it was the first 4 words: “Don’t you be afraid.” That is a personal command from God for each individual believer. Verses like this usually begin with something like, “Fear not.”
“Fear not, little flock…”
Luke 12:32

While this is in context to Israel, it also pertains to God’s adopted children—Gentiles—who have received His promise through His Son.
“Don’t you be afraid…” makes this so personal for every believer.
God makes another command. Don’t be dismayed, followed by an assertion-“I AM your God.”
Now that He has our attention, look at the four promises God made:
- I Am with you.
- I will strengthen you.
- I will help you.
- I will uphold you

God is so good to you and me. He wants each of us to know His love, not earthly fear and dread.
Through Jesus, God’s love from Heaven came down to where we are. And His great love reaches back to the skies and beyond for you and me.
Your loving kindness, Yahweh, is in the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the skies.
Psalm 36:5
