This week’s memory verses are 2 Corinthians 5:17 and Romans 6:4
A concept that can be hard to grasp is how we can be good enough for Jesus. Thankfully, believers are reassured by passages like the ones found in Ephesians 2.
Take a look.

But God, being rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us,
even when we were dead through our trespasses,
made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—
and raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus;
for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves;
it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast.
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works,
which God prepared before that we would walk in them.
Ephesians 2:4-10
We literally get to start over when we give our hearts to Jesus. Everything is new. Not everything is just like new. God looks at true believers and sees the covering of Jesus upon our lives. We are a new creation through Christ.

Of course, we will continue to struggle with sin. But it will be different. As a believer, we simply want to be different people. We want to be more like Christ Jesus.
God gives us His power through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. It is with that strength and guidance that we can live victoriously.
Today’s memory verses come from two distinct letters from Paul. But you can easily see the Spirit’s work which ties these thoughts together.
MEMORY VERSES
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new
2 Corinthians 5:17
We were buried therefore with him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.
Romans 6:4
