Woe to the rebellious children!
This is the Lord’s declaration.
They carry out a plan, but not mine;
they make an alliance,
but against my will,
piling sin on top of sin.
Isaiah 30:1
Isaiah’s message to the children of Israel is a warning for people today.
God is so merciful. Time after time His beloved people were disloyal to Him, though He steadfastly proved His love and grace.
People today, like the Hebrews from almost 3,000 years ago, still walk in open rebellion against God.
It is tragic when lost people reject God. It is inexcusable when truly born-again believers live openly embracing the world view, instead of living obediently in a close relationship with God.
The result for half-hearted believers is always the same. Broken lives.

The answer for the Hebrews is applicable for you and me today.
For the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel, has said: “You will be delivered by returning and resting; your strength will lie in quiet confidence...
Yet that is only the first part of this verse. The Hebrews ultimately rejected this kind offer from the Lord. Imagine His sorrow as He spoke these words-
But you are not willing.”
Isaiah 30:15
If you have stepped away, won’t you return to Him? He will forgive and restore you.
