I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people,
Ephesians 1:18
The “eyes of your heart.”
What a captivating image!
God’s people can really know, in both mind and heart, about this faith we share. True believers are not mystified by spiritual terms like hope and peace. Not only that, but we are filled with the Spirit that unveils our Spiritual gifts of service.
Most importantly, we can know and love our Father more and more.
Paul called this Spiritual sight an inherited treasure, and it truly is.

There is an old hymn that reflects this truth.
Open my eyes, that I may see
glimpses of truth Thou hast for me;
place in my hands the wonderful key,
that shall unclasp and set me free.
Silently now I wait for Thee,
ready, my God, Thy will to see;
open my eyes, illumine me,
Spirit divine!1
Be devoted to God every day. Encourage other believers.
And share His Good News in your world!
Isaiah 52:7
